Bubble Letter O – How to Draw Your Bubble O. In theory, the letter O should be easy to write and draw. Either the lowercase or the uppercase version of the letter, it’s just a circle. When writing it, it’s one of the easiest letters to learn. This guide will show you that this simple font looks cool. We’ll do this by turning this simple letter into an awesome bubble letter O.
This will make the letter more complicated and look much cooler. We will not only cover how you can draw this letter, but we will also share some ways that you can customize and make your drawing even better. With that, we’ll begin the first of 6 steps to show you how to recreate this awesome design for this card that you can customize.

As we mentioned in the introduction to this guide, the letter O is a fairly simple letter to write. Despite that, we recommend that you draw a guide with a pencil. Draw a circle with a light pencil or lightly press to do this. It would help to make it the size you want for your final drawing. It doesn’t need to be a perfect circle either, as this is to guide you as you draw the final lines of the bubble letter version later on. Whether you’re drawing a pencil guide or simply going for it, we can start drawing the note itself. It would help if you chose a drawing tool that is comfortable for you.
We like to use markers because they make the lines look much thicker, but you can use whatever you want. The first line we will draw will be on the upper curve of the graph. The reference image will show you where this line should be placed and how curved it should be. Once drawn, we can start drawing a little more of the letter in the next step.
For the next step, we will draw the curved part on the left side of the image. As you can see in our reference picture, the next portion of the letter will extend down from where the last line ended. If you can draw these first two steps in one go, that would be perfect, but splitting it in two is okay. There is quite a sharp bend in this line.
It’s easy to wobble when drawing a rounded line like this, so don’t be afraid to take it easy and focus on keeping the line nice and smooth. Once you’ve drawn the next section of the letter, you’re ready to move on to step 3 of the guide so we can continue.
In this third step of this manual, we will already finish the shape of the letter O on the bubble. There are a few ways you could do it. One would be to repeat what you did in the rather two steps. This can be done by mirroring the images of those steps. That means you would draw a smaller curved line on the upper right side of the letter and then a longer one that curves down to meet at the base.
If you feel confident, you can draw it in one continuous line starting from the top or bottom of the outline of the O. Once you’ve finished this outline. You can erase any pencil lines you drew to help you with the first step. We will no longer need them. Then we can start drawing the inner outline of the letter in the fourth step!
In this step, we’ll draw the hole section of the O. It might be tempting to give it a simple circular shape, but we want it to look like a bubble. Specifically, how we’ll draw the hole in the O will make it look like the letter is made from a balloon. To do this, we’ll draw the hole in a shape that looks like an onion. You will start with a slightly curved line sticking out of the top.
It will then round down to create a mostly round shape. It will be a little thinner at the top, and the line at the tip will overlap and stick out. That may sound like it could be more challenging, but it’s much simpler than it sounds. Follow the reference image and try to make yours look as close to this one as possible. When you’re happy with how the inner and outer edge outlines look, you can move on to step 5, where we’ll add some final touches.
Your letter’s outlines are ready; we’ll add some simple details to finish it. How we’ve drawn it so far makes it look like a bubble. The little details we’ll add now will help make it look more like a bubble, so add them now! First, we’ll count a small oval body near the top. This will replicate the look of light reflecting off the letter. You can also draw this oval on another part of the letter. Adding more reflective points would also look nice, but more than a few can make it less effective.
Try to keep in mind where the light source of your image would be located. Be and then hold the reflective parts even with that. Next, we will draw the cues to give this letter better depth. You can add them near the outlines of the letter. Our reference image shows you some places to draw these lines, but be sure to play around with them! Before proceeding to the final step, add background patterns, shapes, or details to your artwork.
This is the final step of the guide, and it’s fun! Time to grab all of our favourite colouring tools and mediums as we add some colour to your drawing. Our model shows you only one way to shade your drawing. We chose a warm red colour scheme to keep it nice and cozy. To replicate the look of a balloon, we made the colours lighter at the top of the letter and darker at the bottom. You can choose similar colours for your drawing.
But you can choose any other colour you want! Regardless of the colours you choose, you can achieve a similar effect by using a few dark and light shades of the colours you choose. It could also be fun to make patterns of colours, stripes, or shapes inside the O. This would allow you to use all your favourite colours. Not only can you play with the colours, but you can also try different art tools and media to make the colours pop and look their best. Before we wrap up this guide completely, we’ll look at some ways you can make your drawing even more unique with some fun ideas to try.
